Neighborhood Watch ProgramNeighborhood Watch is a group of neighbors who look out for each other’s families and property, alert the police to any suspicious activities or crime in progress, and work together to make the community a safer and better place to live. Over the next few months, the HANA Neighborhood Watch committee will focus on posting Neighborhood Watch signage at the HANA boundaries, providing on-going training to the community via tips in the newsletter, and organizing public awareness events. For neighborhood watch to be a success we need your participation. We need you to help stop crime before it begins. Get to know your neighbors. Come to HANA events. Spread the word. Working together, we can build our community into a safer, friendlier and more caring place. Please report any suspicious activity by calling 911. Citizen ObserverCitizen Observer is a program that the Arlington Heights Police Department uses to facilitate communication with the public. HANA currently subscribes to this service, and automatically forwards alerts to everybody on the HANA email list (if you aren't currently on the email list, you can sign up here). You can also sign up directly for this free service here. Also, if you have a tip about a crime, you can submit the information here. Anonymity is ensured, as detailed at the bottom of the Tip page.
